Welcome to Ancient Ocean Beef Co.—a family-run ranch and beef company rooted in the Flint Hills of Kansas. We raise grass-fed, grass-finished cattle on native prairie pastures to produce healthy, delicious, and prairie-friendly beef.
Our mission is simple: nourish people, build community, and conserve prairie. Every purchase helps protect one of the world’s most endangered ecosystems and supports ethical, regenerative ranching.

Reserve a beef share (half beef) and enjoy approximately 200 lbs of regeneratively raised, grass-fed and grass-finished beef—custom cut to your specifications and ready for your freezer.
Your reservation supports ethical animal husbandry and sustainable land stewardship, helping to conserve and restore prairie in the Flint Hills of Kansas.

Our prairie-friendly beef comes from grass-fed and grass-finished cattle raised on regeneratively managed native prairie ranchland in the Flint Hills of Kansas without added hormones or antibiotics. These cattle live the “good life” in prairie, eating a diverse and nutritious diet of native grasses and forbs, contributing to the conservation and restoration of endangered tallgrass prairie.
